Rosana Hribar (1973, Novo mesto) is a visible representative of a generation of contemporary dancers who took up dance professionally in the 1980s. She attended numerous dance seminars at home and abroad and later graduated from the Dance Academy in Ljubljana and received a master’s degree from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television from Art of Movement.

As choreographer she has worked extensively in Slovenia and abroad, and is known for her spectacular Tarantinian pas de deux which she has been developing with choreographer and dancer Gregor Luštek. Their performances received wider acclaim and many awards at different international dance competitions, which attest to their skill and dance excellence also in the international context. In 2015, they received the Prešeren Fund Award, the highest national recognition for achievements in art, for the performance Duet and the dance project Pas de Deux After Pia and Pino, which was inspired by the legacy of Pia and Pino Mlakar.

Rosana Hribar collaborated with the vast majority of acclaimed Slovenian choreographers and theatre directors as well as with different international dance and ballet companies. She teaches and is the Chair of the Dance and Choreography Department at the Dance Academy Alma Mater Europaea in Ljubljana.
