Anamaria Klajnšček (1996, Ljubljana) is a Slovenian performer and maker in the field of contemporary dance, currently living between Slovenia and Spain.
In 2014 she graduated from SVŠGUGL (a Slovenian secondary school for contemporary dance) and continued her studies at the Amsterdam Academy of Theatre and Dance (AHK). After three years of study, she worked for the German company TanzMainz in the 2017/18 season, where she collaborated with Sharon Eyal, Guy Nader & Maria Campos and Guy Weisman & Roni Haver.
Since 2018 she has been working as a freelancer in various projects. As a dancer she works with choreographers such as Guy Nader & Maria Campos, Roser Lopez Espinosa, Pere Gay Faura and Žigan Krajnčan. She has also developed her own projects and is currently on tour with the collaborative duet COSSOC. This is an outdoor piece with Magí Serra, with whom she has performed at many international festivals in Europe and beyond. In October 2022 she premiered her dance and voice solo performance SHE (ONA) at the Dance Theatre Ljubljana. And in November 2023 she presented her latest project Stream of thoughts: Interlace at the Španski borci Culture Centre, Ljubljana. It is a music & dance performance with two dancers and two musicians.
In addition to her choreographic and dance work, Anamaria has been teaching occasionally since the end of her studies. She teaches contemporary dance and also leads partnering and contact workshops internationally.
