Katja Legin


Katja Legin (1985, Ljubljana) graduated from Trinity Laban in London in 2007. Upon returning to Ljubljana she joined the international dance company EnKnapGroup (EKG). In 2012 she also graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Film, Radio and Television with a BA in theatre directing, later turning her thesis into a book Dualities. Performer and His Work, published by Ljubljana City Theatre Library. She works freelance as a performer, choreographer, dramaturge and pedagogue and is the recipient of the Ksenija Hribar Award, presented by the Contemporary Dance Association Slovenia.

In 2012 she initiated the No!training Lab, a research project focused on exploring different aspects of performance art. Collaborating with a group of dance practitioners, she completed the research in 2015. Between 2015 and 2018 she co-curated the Neforma series of dance and music improvisations, produced by Sploh Institute.
