Gregor Luštek (1973, Novo Mesto, Slovenia) studied at the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana. He has trained in a variety of dance techniques, ranging from Classical Ballet to Contact Improvisation, Somatic Practices, and Martial Arts. His artistic expression is characterised by soft yet athletic movement, taking the anatomical structure of the body as a foundation for kinetic decision-making. The main focus of his work is on function, awareness, and the coordination between the diaphragm and pelvic floor as a source of power and consciousness, ultimately leading to a more integrated experience of the self and the world.

Gregor works as a freelance dancer, choreographer, assistant director and occasionally as an actor. He has collaborated with many renowned choreographers, dance artists, and theatre directors both in Slovenia and internationally. His work has earned him numerous awards, including the Prešeren Fund Award, Župančič Award, and Trdina Award in Slovenia, as well as the Sterija Award for Stage Movement abroad.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, Gregor has led countless seminars and workshops in Slovenia (including at the Alma Mater Europaea Academy for Dance) and internationally (such as at the Latvian Academy of Culture, SNDO, and Beijing Dance Academy). He has worked as a choreographer, pedagogue, and professional associate in various productions, including Exodos, Dance Theatre Ljubljana, Anton Podbevšek Theatre, SNT Drama Ljubljana, Opera Ballet Ljubljana, and the National Theatre Ivan Vazov in Sofia, Bulgaria. Additionally, he has participated in various international projects, such as CradleShareOne SpaceChina–CEEC/Summer dance camp.

In his work he is following the maxim: the body speaks, it needs to be listened to.
