Evin Hadžialjević (1986, Ljubljana) completed contemporary dance programme at the Pre-school Education, Art Grammar and Grammar School in Ljubljana in 2005 and went on to graduate from Trinity Laban, London, with a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre in 2008. In 2004, she also finished pedagogical training at the Faculty of Education Koper and in 2018, graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television with a BA in Art of Movement (with the performance research As Breath) as well as obtained habilitation at the University in Ljubljana.
In 2010/11, Evin was a member of the international Ljubljana-based dance group EnKnapGroup (EKG), as a dancer, she worked intensively with Mateja Bučar (Green Table, 2015; On (the) Line, 2017; Urban Notes, 2017/2018) and with the American choreographer Jonah Bokaer in the show Other Myths (2015), which toured both Europe and America. She has been working freelance as a dancer since 2010.
As a teacher, she has taught contemporary dance at the Dance Studio Intakt, Plesni Epicenter and the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Conservatory. She also teaches at the Academy of Music and as a pedagogue and mentor for movement techniques and skills at Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television.
