Urška Vohar (1977, Maribor) studied visual arts at the Faculty of Education in Maribor and went on to study dance and choreography at the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam, where she graduated in 2006. While studying in Amsterdam, she started working as well as lighting designer. She has worked and trained with a number of acclaimed Slovenian and international artists, such as Maja Delak, Silvan Omerzu, Snježana Premuš, Andreja Rauch, Matej Kejžar, Tina Dobaj Eder, Andy Papas, Ann Popoulis, Frey Faust, Vincent Cacialano, Katie Duck, Thomas Lehmen, Andrew Morrish, David Zambrano, Juan Kruz, Keren Levi, Igor Dobričić, Ellen Knop, Georg Hobmeier. During her study years at the SNDO, she created a series of dance performances, among them also the acclaimed I Was Born on a Sunday and Dust Republic, which she presented at different dance festivals. She has been living in Ljubljana since 2006, working with different production houses, among other Emanat, Maska and City of Women. Urška has been part of the technoburlesque Image Snatchers since 2013.
In 2015 she received the Ksenija Hribar Award for oustanding pedagogical work as part of the teaching collective of the contemporary dance programme at the Secondary Preschool Education & Gymnasium Ljubljana.
